Know your Meme
The internet is full of fads that unless your using the internet all the time you will not know about. Know your Meme is a data base that updates constantly with new Meme working across the internet. Epic Win
Epic Win
Epic Win is an app for the for mobile touch screen device, its a to do list. Anything you need to get done in a day you type in to your Epic Win list, and it organizes your tasks in the hierarchy you choose. The part that this simple task organizing mobile app does that most doesn't is give you incentive to get your tasks completed by making your to do list in to a video game. It works like most RPGs you make a character and as you complete your tasks you travel farther on your quest, complete enough things on your list you level up and get loot. This is a great way to get a user to be interested in using a simple application like a to do list.

Virtual Eternity
Virtual Eternity
Virtual Eternity has to be one of the creepiest websites I have ever visited. The whole point of the site is to make a virtual verson of yourself so after you die you leave a copy of yourself behind. Personally this sound a little to much like Caprica for my taste. The techongy is not that impressive because it isn't much different then a aim bot (then again I tried the free trail). But the shocking part is the intelltar' s user image. I uploaded a simple head shot and VE animated it for me. Which has to be the creepiest yet most impressive part because it animates this plain image and make it almost look like a webcam. Chatting with the intellar (as the virtual you is called on the site) is like chatting with a mac book. The voice sounds computerized, but the company is working on ways of recording your voice. Although the digital copy of a human being is long ways away and still the stuff of science fiction.

Bing-Mall Maps
Bing- Mall Maps
The one thing I am unable to ever find is the map for the mall, its always another ad on the other side of those boards. During a time when most people have smart phones and can get on the internet with those mobile devices, they can get more then just direction to the local shopping mall but directions for within the mall. This is one of the most helpful map tools during the holiday season. No more wild goose chases trying to find the right store or a map in the mall to find that store. Also, before leaving for the mall you can check to see which one has the best stores for what you are looking for. This idea has been used before for conventions like Comic-con which has a iphone app mapping out the artist alley and dealer's room.
Firesheep
Firesheep
Firesheep is an add on for Firefox which isn't as friendly as the name might suggest. It is a free addition that anyone can download and it easy to use which is great except if Firesheep didn't do what it does. It takes advantage of open WiFi networks allowing users to grab other peoples log-in information, from many popular sites like Facebook or G-mail.
When someone on the same network log-in to the site Firesheep knows, the user image will appear and with one click you are log on to someone else Facebook account. Anyone who can use a computer can use this add on and hack into any ones account.
With any internet threat their is always away to block it, Force TLS and Fire Shepard will help combat anyone who tries to Firesheep your social networking.

Trillian
Trillian
Trillain is a instant message system that allows the user to use more than one instant message provider at the same time. This allows the user to be able to talk to friends no matter which instant message service they choose like MSN, Yahoo, Aim, ICQ, and others. This can even interface with facebook and other social networking sites with a chat feature allowing the user to chat with friends all over the web from one source. This takes social networking to the next level by letting the user have one place to find all his needed social updates and all contacts from all over the web.

SeaMonkey
SeaMonkey
SeaMonkey is a new web browser released by Mozilla who also have released FireFox, ThunderBird and Chatzilla. This browser is meant to combined function like email, html editor and IRC. This allows a user to check their email within the browsers instead of having to enter a site, enter your user name and password each time. This also allows a user to check a few email accounts at the same time. I personally have a yahoo, gmail, apple and squirrel mail account which I used for different functions. With this browser I can check my facebook while viewing my email from all my accounts at the same time.
Html editor allows a user to edit webpages, create simple ones within the Sea Monkey browser. The has three ways of viewing the project at hand, normal/preview, html Tags, and Source. These different screens I feel could help someone learning html to gain a better grasp on how the source code works. The html tags screen allows you to see the objects add to the site with little tags saying what they are in relation to the source codes. SeaMonkey’s composer isn’t Dreamweaver but its a not to bad although I am still a novice in html.
This browser may not be for everyone but its not much different from the Firefox or Google web browsers with other nice extras.
