R/GA

R/GA
Since 1977 R/GA has been making ground breaking work in there industry. Original they started out as a Motion Graphic Company at a time before that term was even being used. This company made many of the iconic motion graphic we know today. When they started out the technology they needed didn’t exist yet so they had to build everything from the ground up.

In recent years they have changed from making  feature film special effects, and commercials into an agency making interactive media. They started building a digitally centered agency to meet the needs of customers.

Examples of projects they have worked are Nike+ and thatsnotcool.com. These are interactive advertisements they don’t just stop at the web browser but can be connected to other products. Nike+ allows a users to log the running they do, this is also connects to an online community with members all over the world. Thatsnotcool.com is a website created to help teens who are being bullied though technology with technology. Their goal is to reach out to people and inform them of cyber bulling while help the victims seek help and stay connected with other teens just like them. This connects to other sites such as social networks, they even has an app for the Iphone. Instead of thinking within the browser this company is trying to connect new tech to with the internet.

The Site
The homepage is simple and easy to use, the whole site is within this page. The simple navigation bar at the top is easy to read and doesn’t disappear when I scroll down. I do have the option to scroll but why do that when I want to see the contact page, just one click and bingo the page rolls down to the bottom. The transition is smooth and pleasing to the eye, I could even say its fun to just switch from Home to About then back again. I have no trouble with the controls and with the straight forward titles, I find everything easily within seconds.

  1. This is a good first attempt. I think that some discussion as to WHY they are considered digital agency of the decade would be appropriate and more interesting than just describing the web sites.
